Trying Lancôme skin care – (Samples)

Hey angel faces,

Skin care should be a main step in everyone’s daily routine, we only have one skin through our lifetime and we need to look after it as best as we can. This might be a slightly long post so apologies in advance!

This may come as a shock to some of you if you read my blogs but I was in Boots the other day (my second home) and I really want to try some new skin care, I was browsing in the higher end section and one of the ladies from the Lancôme counter came over and was asking what I was looking for and I just told her that I wanted to try some new skin care, she started showing me the face creams and serums that they have and putting them on my hand and she kindly gave me a few samples to take away and try out.

Let me tell you guys, if you haven’t tried any Lancôme products, you really should. I know its a bit of a splurge but for the way it makes me skin feel, I would happily starve for a month (not really but kinda haha!)

One of the first products I tried was the Glow Awakening And Reinforcing Eye Cream Retails at £45. It is slightly perfumed but nothing too crazy where it would irritate you eyes. It actually smells really nice with its floral scent and its a very creamy texture. Its infused with Schizandra Red Berry Extract and Linseed Extract which helps with moisture for your under eyes, it also helps to relieve tired eyes which I do have quite a lot and to revive the look of eye contour over time.

A few benefits of the product:

  • Targets under eye wrinkles.
  • Skin feels softer and smoother.
  • Eyes look more radiant.
  • Glowing skin.

Now I don’t know about you but I’m all for that! … The next sample product the lady gave me was the Advanced Genifique Youth Activating Concentrate Retails at £29. I really like this product, its not oily and doesn’t make your skin feel greasy, its a really nice formula and feels really nice when pressing it into your skin.

A few benefits of the product:

  • Targets 10 signs of youthful looking skin
  • Reduces the appearance of fine lines.
  • Improves appearance of radiance.
  • Improves firmness of skin.
  • Improves evenness in skin tone.
  • Improves texture of skin.

I don’t feel like £29 for a serum that claims to do all those things is a bad price at all, I’m definitely keen to give these products a proper go.

The last thing I was given to try out was the Hydra Zen Anti-Stress Rich Cream Retails at £41. I’m really impressed with how my skin feels and looks with these products, it does go to show that its worth splurging a little bit more on things like this, especially when you see results.

A few benefits of the product:

  • Proven calming, anti-stress action.
  • Rose and lily-of-the-valley (soothing)
  • Orange (relax)
  • Apple (anti-stress)
  • White musk (reassuring)

It has natural plant extracts which help combat negative effects of environmental and emotional stress. Another ingredient is Samphire which produces beta-endorphins which heighten moisturisation and other ingredients which help with long lasting hydration. Its also great for sensitive skin.

They do all these products plus more in a gift set at the moment and while all of this would set you back £99.50 I really do feel like its worth it if you want that good quality skin care that you know is going to do great for you skin.

I will still try out other skin care products, hopefully I can find something a little cheaper (a lot cheaper) but there isn’t any harm in asking for samples so you can see if you like the product before spending your coins on it.

Have any of you guys tried the Lancôme skin care range? If so, what do you think of it? Do you think its worth the money? Let me know in the comments below 🙂

Thank you so much for reading guys and ill speak to you all soon ♥
