I have quite a few face masks in my cupboard at home, rarely do I use a sheet mask and to be honest I’ve never tried just an eye mask before either. I’m super fortunate to have a friend who works for Lancôme which is how I got to try this eye mask out.
It’s the Genifique Yeux Light-Pearl Hydrogel Melting 360 Eye Mask which a pack of 4 retails in Boots at £35 or for the sheets by themselves, they are £11.
I really liked the feeling of the mask when applied, you apply it gel side down and its cool and soothing on the skin. It didn’t have any type of scent as far as I could smell. Once applied I left it on for 20 mins as it stated on the back. One thing I really liked was that it didn’t slip off or move about once I put it on. When I’ve used sheet masks before they always slip and slide when I’m moving about – whereas with this one, I was actually hanging up my washing with this on and it didn’t move even when I was bending down! So that’s a big thumbs up from me.
Once the 20 minutes were up and I took if off, I just pressed the remaining product lightly into my skin around my eyes.
Here are the benefits of the Light-Pearl Eye Mask:
- Immediately reduces appearance of fine line and wrinkles.
- Leaves eye contour looking brighter.
- Helps with eye bags and dark circles.
One of the main ingredients in this product is Bifida Ferment Lysate. This is a probiotic ingredient that’s used in one of the most iconic serums in the world. The formula is known to strengthen the skin’s barrier function and will leave your skin looking healthier and younger.
Now, as much as I really did enjoy using this product, sadly I wont be purchasing it in the foreseeing future. All I found it done for me was leave my skin feeling refreshed, which don’t get me wrong, I’m a big fan of but I do have other products that do the same thing and are a lot cheaper.
It didn’t help with my eye bags and dark circles which to be fair, nothing really can as mine are hereditary (thanks dad ♥) so I guess I cant really blame the product for that.
I do also have fine lines under my eyes and again, sadly they didn’t appear any different to how they looked before I applied the mask.
This isn’t me slating the product, because I did enjoy using it, its just unfortunately the benefits of this product didn’t work for me but that’s not to say it wont work for somebody else.
If you angels have tried this eye mask I’d love to know your thoughts on it, or what eye masks/face masks do you love and think I should try.
Thanks so much for reading and I’ll speak to you all very soon ♥
