I don’t even know how to start this blog. What the hell is going on right now! I know people are probably wanting to read things that are not about Covid-19 at the moment and this isn’t what my blogs are going to be about specifically, I just feel like I need somewhere to come and just write absolute rubbish if I wanted to, talk about what I’m getting up to being in lockdown…even if it is absolutely nothing…and just share how I’m feeling. I know many people are sufferers of depression and anxiety, myself being one of them and I feel like doing this diary entry will help =) If not then I’ll figure out something else.
So my lockdown started on Tuesday 24th March when the PM announced the 3 week lock down. I work a 9-5.30pm job as an Optical Assistant so I’m pretty used to being out all day, working with the public. The first day was okay, it was just like one of my days off, I relaxed for a bit, done majority of our washing and tidied up, also caught up on some of my soaps.
The day after I started feeling really anxious, not really knowing what to do with myself, there’s only so much TV you can watch before it begins to get annoying! Unless your engrossed in a box set, I don’t have Netflix but I do have Sky so if there is anything on there that you would recommend, it would be great if you could share them down below!
I decided to cut my hair aswell, I didn’t give myself a fringe so don’t worry it wasn’t that drastic haha! I just cut off my split ends and took a little bit extra off and my fiancé made sure it was level at the back bless him.
I’ll tell you another thing I am obsessed with right now, it’s a game on the Nintendo Switch called Animal Crossing: New Horizons. I wont lie, I’m not really too sure what the hell I’m doing, just sort of winging it haha! Its very entertaining though and does take your mind off things so games are definitely a good thing to be doing in times like these =).
Are any of you playing Animal Crossing? Let me know in the comments, I’d be interested to know how many of you are.
One thing I know I want to do learn how to do properly during this lockdown whilst I have time on my hands, is to learn how to blend eyeshadow seamlessly, I’m not terrible at it but it could be better, thank god for youtube videos to help me ey!
What are you all doing with your time? Are you learning anything new from home? Learning a new Hobby?
Just remember guys, this isn’t going to be forever, it will pass, just keep positive….You’ve got this =)
